10+2 Entry at Ezhimala Naval Academy

Ezhimala: Indian Navy has invited applications for admission under the 10+2 Cadet (B.Tech) Entry Scheme (Permanent Commission) course commencing in December 2014 at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala.

Applicants must be unmarried males in the age group of 17 to 19½ years (born between 2ndJuly 1995 & 1st January 1998; both dates inclusive). They should have passed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2Pattern) or its equivalent from University/Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII). Applicants should satisfy the Physical Standards prescribed as per the Notification that can be downloaded from http://www.nausena-bharti.nic.in/pdf/10+2/AdvEnglish.pdf.
There will be no relaxation in physical standards. Selected Candidates will be inducted as Cadets for four year B Tech coursein Electronics & Communication or Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala. During the course, Cadets will be allotted Executive or Engineering including Naval Architect specialisation or Electrical Branch. On completion of the course, B Tech Degree will be awarded by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).The entire cost of training, including books and reading material, will be borne by the Indian Navy. The cadets will also be provided with free clothing and messing.
Application: Application can be submitted only Online (e-application) and it can be done between 2nd June 2014 and 23rd June 2014 at the appropriate link at www.nausena-bharti.nic.in. Before commencing to fill the e-application, applicants may keep the relevant documents readily available to enable the correct filling up of personal particulars. Details are to be filled up as given in the Matriculation Certificate. Fields such as e-mail address, mobile number are mandatory.
Applicant should click in the ‘Officer Entry’ button under the option ‘Apply Online’ on the Home Page at the site and then fill the online registration form. Tips to assist in filling up fields will come as the applicant highlights each field. After filling the form, applicant should click on Preview and check if all the information entered is correct. Before clicking the Print Application button it should be checked whether all the details entered in the form are correct as one will not be able to make any corrections after saving the record.
Applicants can read the instructions on conduct of SSB by clicking on the instruction for SSB Button and take the print of the application form by entering the details from the download sections under officer entry. Applicant should print two copies of the online Application Form having the system generated Application Number. One copy of this Application Form is to be duly signed and mailed (posted) to ‘Post Box No. 04, Main PO, RK Puram, New Delhi – 110 066’, along with Self attested photograph, photo copies of 10th & 12th class pass certificates, mark sheets, attested by gazetted officer, to reach by 3rd July, 2014 in a cover super-scribed ‘ONLINE APPLICATION NO. ——- APPLICATION FOR 10+2 CADET (B TECH) ENTRYSCHEME – DEC 2014 COURSE Qualification ——- Percentage ———– %”.Application and requisite enclosures must be properly tagged/stapled. Application is to be posted through normal post. Application sentby Speed Post/Registered Post/Courier/e-mail will not be accepted.
Filling the application Online/generation of Application Number doesnot imply that the candidate has fulfilled all the criteria given in theadvertisement. Application is subject to subsequent scrutiny and the applicationcan be rejected, if found ineligibleat any point of time.
Selection procedure: Applicants will be issued call up for Services Selection Board (SSB)interviews based on their performance in Senior Secondary Examination(10+2 equivalent). Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) will short-list applications after fixing cut off percentage. No communication will be entertained on this account. SSB interviews for short-listed candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/Bhopal/Coimbatore/Visakhapatnam during August to November 2014. Stage I test, consisting of Intelligence Tests, Picture Perception and Discussion Tests will be conducted on the second day of arrival of candidates at SSB. Candidate who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day. Stage II Tests comprising of Psychological Testing, Group Testing and Interview will last for 4 days.
Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical examination (approximately of 3 to 5 days duration). Third AC rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, to and from home station if appearing for the first time. The training for selected candidates is scheduled to commence in December 2014. On successful completion of training, cadets will be commissioned as Sub Lieutenant.
