Jack Ma’s career advice: You don’t have to be smart to be successful

Building a team of smart people, and helping them work well together, is key for your startup to be successful.

Jack Ma founded Alibaba in his apartment in China in 1999. Now, it is the largest retailer in the world and the company is worth over $160 Billion dollars. They have created more than 13 million jobs and reach 500 Million people.

At the World Economic Forum, Jack gave an interview with lots of wisdom learned on his journey. Here are a few short nuggets:

“You don’t have to know a lot of things, but you must find the people who are smarter than you. My job is to make sure that those smart people can work together, because then it becomes easier to believe the vision.
