The State Bank of India, being the largest public sector bank in India opens more than thousands of job opportunities once in a year. Generally, the SBI Probationary officers and Clerk recruitment’s take place once in a year. This is the time when SBI opens any of the post recruitment notice for the graduates across India.

This year in 2018, the largest and number one bank of the nation, SBI has opened two posts and on an average 14000 vacancies for both PO and Clerk designation. State Bank of India will recruit fresh/experienced graduates in thousands of branches across the country. Application will be opened by first week of April 2018.

SBI Clerk 2018 Recruitment

Announcement of SBI Clerk 2018 recruitment for 12000 vacancies to be expected in the month of March. SBI Clerk 2018 Notification: Exam Details

There are 12000 vacancies across the nation for SBI Clerk post. The official announcement will be made in the month of March 2018. The notification for the recruitment is expected to publish at that time only. The recruitment process is bit long.

The first step of the process is couple of examination prelim and main. Both the examinations conduct via online mode only. Candidates have to pass in both the examinations with desired grades. After the prelim and main paper candidates are required to appear for Group Discussion. Once the candidate gets through the GD section he/she will have to attend the Personal Interview session. The final result will be out sometimes in September 2018.

These online tests will be conducted in two basic languages that is English and Hindi. No other regional languages are available. Candidates must be pro any of these two languages before appearing for the test. Prelim and Main examination both have a set of multiple choice questions that contains 1 or more marks for each. Also there is a negative marking as well for the wrong answers. So be careful when you click on the option button.

SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2018

Age Criteria:

Applicants should not be aged more than 28 as of 01.04.2018. The minimum age of the candidate should not be less than 21 as of 01.04.2018. That means the applicant must not be born before 02.04.1990.

Other Backward Class: 5 Years
Person With Disability:
SC/ST: 15 years
OBC: 13 years
General: 10 years
Ex Servicemen, Short Service Commissioned Officer (SSSO), Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECO) and other commissioned officers, Those who have served military for at least 5 years and completed assignments or discharged for physical disability or any inefficiency: 5 Years
Education Qualification:

The candidates must be completed graduation before 1st of July 2018. Those who have completed 10+2+3 graduation can apply easily. On the other who have appeared for the examination and waiting for the result can also apply, however they have to make sure that the final result should be out before 1st July 2018.

Any graduate from any discipline are eligible for the post. The candidate must be graduated from a recognized university or institution.

SBI Clerk Application Form 2018

SBI Clerk Application form 2018 will be available on the official website of State Bank of India https://www.sbi.co.in/ . In the website you will find an ‘announcement’ segment where you can get the application form of the clerk examination.

SBI clerk online registration will start in the first week of April 2018. Candidates need to submit their SBI clerk application form in online mode only before the last date.

There are three steps that one needs to take to complete the form filling process. When landed to the application form page, read the form carefully and then fill it gradually step by step. Name, address, contact details, email ID, your last three examination and their marks, the languages you speak, city, district and many more basic details must be entered in the form.

Once you are done with the form filling click on the ‘save and next’ button and go to the next page where you have to upload your passport sized photograph and signature. Photograph should not be more than 50kb in size and the signature will not be more than 20kb in size.

Finally one you are done with the uploading click on the button ‘submit’ and submit the form for registration. A registration number will be generated, save it for further reference. Take a print out of the application form for future use.

For the General Category the fee is Rs. 600/-
For SC/ST/OBC the fee is Rs. 100/-
SBI Clerk Syllabus 2018

The SBI Clerk syllabus for Prelim is:

English: 30 marks for 30 questions
Numerical analysis: 35 marks for 35 questions
Reasoning: 35 marks in 35 questions
Total time of examination: 1 hour
The SBI Clerk Syllabus for Main Examination:

English: 40 marks for 40 questions
General knowledge: 50 marks for 50 questions
Quantitative aptitude: 50 marks for 50 questions
Reasoning and computer: 50 marks for 50 questions
Total time of examination: 2 hours 40 minutes
The Prelim has total 100 marks and the main exam has 200 marks in total. For each correct answer candidate will secure 1 mark while for each wrong answer he has to give away 0.25 marks. After securing the passing marks candidates can go further in recruitment process.

SBI Clerk Admit card 2018

The SBI clerk admit card is issued and available 10 days prior to the examination. It will be available in the official website of the bank. Candidates are required to download the admit card and get a printed copy of the same.

To get the SBI clerk admit card 2018 candidates have to login with their registration number and birth date as password and then can download the Admit card. The time and the venue of the examination is listed on the admit card only.

SBI Clerk Result 2018
The SBI Clerk Prelim result will be out in June 2018. Those who will be passed will only be eligible for the main paper. The SBI clerk result will be published in the official website of SBI. Candidates have to login with their registration number and password (birth date)to know the exam result.

There are a lot of people appear for the Prelim but few of them can manage to go further to main. After main exam lesser than few can move forward to GD and PI sessions.

SBI Clerk Cut-Off

SBI Clerk Cut off marks depend on the number of vacancies that particular state has. At times students get confused about diverse cut offs in different stats. The reason is that depending upon the vacancy cut offs are decided. However each candidate has to secure the passing marks to be selected for the next step.
